Willow attends Nailsea School Careers Evening

James and Erika recently attended the Nailsea School Careers Evening to talk to students considering a career in healthcare and to share their experience of working in chiropractic.

A career in chiropractic is often varied, with many different specialisms and career paths to choose from. Our chiropractors were able to share their personal experience of training and practicing in the world of chiropractic care. They also offered advice relating to subject selection and how to go about applying to become a chiropractor.

Chiropractic is a relatively unknown career option and the idea was to give both the students, and their parents, more information about what chiropractic care is all about, as well as discuss opportunities for studying. The students’ parents found it very helpful to talk to a chiropractor and be able to ask questions about their experience of training and working in this sector.

Several students have since visited the Willow Chiropractic Nailsea clinic for work experience. It will be really interesting to see how many decide to follow this career option as a result of their experience in the clinic. On a related note, one of Liam's patients has become a convert to the power of chiropractic and has applied to the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic (WIOC) to train (James, Liam and Erika all studied at WIOC). The team wish him all the best on his journey to becoming a chiropractor.
