Matt Sutton completes the Dartmoor Classic Sportive

We are delighted to report that Matt Sutton has just completed the The Dartmoor Classic Sportive, the largest cycling challenge in the South West of England.  Established in 2007, the Dartmoor Classic Sportive is organised and run by the Mid-Devon Cycling Club.

Over the years it has gained a reputation for being one of the best Cycle Sportives in the UK, attracting cyclists from around the world (participants are capped at 4,000). This was Matt's first go at this event and he had been training for it over several months.

Matt completed the 68 mile Medio Route in 5 hours and 10 minutes - around what he had hoped for. He said; "It was a beautifully challenging. The weather held and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. A big thanks to the Emerson's team (Lacey Sarah and Gus) for the  adjustments before the weekend and during training. It helped so much for such a long time in the saddle. This was far harder than the Exmoor Beast Sportive last year and I found this tougher than the Blackpool marathon I did some years ago. All in all a lovely weekend."
