Willow Chiropractic visit Wessex Water

To help celebrate World Spinal Awareness Day chiropractors James and Liam, from our Nailsea team visited Wessex Water to carry out posture checks on members of their staff. They also gave a talk on the importance of maintaining good spinal health, as well as offering advice relating to some of the posture related problems that employees were experiencing.

James said, “We saw around 20 to 30 staff members in their working environment. Most of them work sitting at a desk and as a result their neck posture was generally poor. We find that many people are aware that their posture isn't great but they just are not sure what they can do to improve it, so the information that we share with them is of great value.”

Willow Chiropractic regularly carries out posture checks for local businesses as part of the 'Willow in the Workplace' initiative. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining good spinal health amongst members of the working community. The benefit to businesses is, that by helping to educate their staff about ways to improve their posture, they are also helping to improve their overall health and wellbeing. Willow also finds that these events are a great way of improving links within the local community. The next posture check will take place at the Portishead Police Headquarters.
