Patient's great success in the Great North Run

Louise, who is currently being treated by Sarah, took part in the Great North Run. The route is 13.1 miles and covers multiple elevation levels!  It is fantastic that Louise not only ran and finished the race, but in her age and gender category she came 10th out 2,330. Well Done Louise!

Louise will now be taking a few days to rest and recover - with lots of ice - and will then be back training ASAP to get ready for the Great Bristol Half Marathon in just under 2 weeks time. We wish you the best of luck!

“I had a good run at the Great North Run, it was an amazing atmosphere.  So pleased with my efforts considering the time I have had out with injury and only really back out training properly for just over 3 months. Lots of aches today and both achilles feel slightly sore but I had no pain or niggles from them during the race and hamstrings are bit tight. If it wasn't for you putting me back together like a jigsaw in the right order I would never have been on the start yesterday.” Louise Cronin
