Treated for back pain at our Nailsea clinic.
“Before I started chiropractic care I wasn’t experiencing any major issues, but if I was walking or standing for a long period of time, I would get lower back pain. I would also have pain in my right knee when I was running. I decided to visit Willow Chiropractic to see if anything could be done for the pain. What I found interesting during the consultation was how one of the tests showed how you distribute your weight. I was surprised to find out that I was carrying more weight on my right side. I started to think of the long term effects and decided I needed to be more preventative.
I didn’t know what to expect as I had never been to a chiropractor before, but I was curious and open minded. My lower back was what initially drove me to seek out chiropractic care, but I didn’t realise how interconnected the body was. In the past I had seen a GP about my back pain, but they only suggested exercises to strengthen the muscles, and that was around 10 years ago. I have always had twinges, but never any serious pain so I have just been carrying on as I was.
At the start, I wasn’t sure about the adjustments as the noises you hear can be off-putting, but it really isn’t as bad as you think! I no longer have any knee pain when I run. I even managed to run 20km recently and I only do 5-10km usually. I did have a little hip pain afterwards, but once I had been to my adjustment this disappeared. I now understand more about my spinal health and how everything is linked to the spine. I was surprised to find out that my own health philosophy matched that of a chiropractic lifestyle. Everyone can benefit from seeing a chiropractor.”
