Guess what? It’s almost summer! Remember that romantic view of summer you had as a kid? You’d anxiously wait for that blissful time of year dedicated to nothing but going out, rolling in the grass, and happily ignoring all summer assignments from your teachers.

You would always make activities out of nothing, finding a way to amuse yourself with little or no money to spend. But everything costs money now we are older, right? Not necessarily.

The older we get, the more we reach out to find new exciting hobbies and activities. Sometimes, these extravagant hobbies can cause certain traumas that create stress on our spine.

Consequently, after ‘putting up with the pain’ of a degenerative spine, we finally book an appointment to see a specialist such as a Chiropractor. By this time, it could have already stopped you from doing your favourite hobbies. No-one wants to struggle doing what they love, do they?

Fast forward to a fully functional, pain-free body after being on a designated road to recovery plan with the Chiropractor – what’s on the agenda this summer?

Here is a compiled list of ideas to keep summer fun, cheap and healthy!

      1. Go camping!

Why not? Camping is fun, minimalistic feeling and outdoorsy – the perfect combination!

      2. Take a trip to the beach and practice crabbing!

Climbing over the dense rocks to find your perfect spot to crab is rewarding and very enjoyable – remember to go careful!

      3. Play some mini-golf!

Mini-golf on a warm summers day is very relaxing and shall I say VERY competitive. A healthy spine will allow you to bend properly, making it easier to putt that hole in one!

      4. Take a walking tour of the city!

How much of your own city have you seen? Take a walking tour to keep healthy and maintain awareness of your cities beauty.

      5. Go canoeing!

Some people are nervous about canoeing, and although it can be very upper body demanding, the aches are definitely worth it in regard to the amount of fun you’ll have!

     6. Take photographs of nature!

You’ll be surprised about how much fantastic nature we have in this country. Ever seen the Cotswolds? Take your camera and check it out!

     7. Do some gardening!

Having a pristine, well-looked after garden in summer will look good and is proven to make you feel better. Let those flowers blossom!

You don’t have to have a big budget in order to do what you love this summer. Keep your spine healthy, choose an activity and give it your all!
